Colección 2012 Duality de Mahogany
The Duality collection contrasts and complements techniques in cut and colour to create high impact looks that harmonise.
Dual textures, dual shading and dual imagery inspired by the photographic effect Chromatic Aberration.
Chromatic Aberration, which is known better as Achromatism is a distortion caused by the failure of a camera lens to focus on colours.
Achromatism becomes apparent and appears in an image as a band of colour that runs across the edge of one or several objects within the photograph.
This has been used as a feeling in the Duality collection. Soft focused hues are brought to life with beams of vibrant, vivid colours.
Precise geometric cutting is blended with loose freehand lines; bold blocks of colour unite with delicately shaded panels are captured in contradictory techniques that combine to deliver these powerful looks.
The result is intensity and distortion with a soft focus on precision shapes.
It’s a paradox in form and technique, with beautiful consequences.
